Wirerless Weather Instrumnents May 15, 2008 Steve Perry (Boston MA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
All of the wireless weather gear I have purchased over the last 10 years from Oregon Scientific performed superbly and this sensor is no exception! It is easy to set up, accurate and reasonably priced. It is also fully backwards compatable with older model systems (400 Mh)
Great addon to BAR388HGA October 13, 2009 Blinq (PA United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Product works as expected. From my experience Oregon Scientific Weather Stations are one of the best. The batteries last over a year and they are very accurate. After comparing different brands that people I know had I settled on a Oregon Scientific BAR388HGA and am very satisfied with it. I bought this sensor mainly to monitor the temperature in a second floor room. The sensor is approximately 60 feet away, up one floor and through several wall from the main unit, and it work very well.
Remote temperature sensor January 7, 2008 niles at the beach (SC) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Purchased two remote sensors and set them up side by side for testing. Temperatures were within 0.2 degrees and RH was exact. Very happy with the item and its function. Price and delivery were also excellent.
Wireless Remote Temp/Hum Sensor February 9, 2010 Matthew P. Miraglia (Upstate NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I order 3 of the wireless OS THGR122NX sensors for my home. The sensors are packed well and worked right out of the box (of course after installing batteries). I see that some are coming without batteries now but all 3 of mine came with batteries. I did replaced them with high quality batteries instead. Make sure you have the right sized small phillips head screwdriver to take the battery cover off. These sensors have different channels selectable when the battery cover is off. Choose either channel 1,2 or 3 if you have more than one of these sensors to reduce signal collisions to the receiver. The longest range I have tested is about 60 feet so far with no signal loss. As far as compatibility with receivers, I am using a RFXcom receiver that integrates with Homeseer.
Works as advertised December 7, 2008 John F. Pacelli I used it for a remote sensor for my basement. If you follow the directions it works fine. I hated the packaging it came in, difficult to open. The Oregon Scientific website does give a list of what weather stations this works with.
