Outdoor thermometer February 11, 2007 Ricky D. Anderson (Sunrise , Florida) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Another gadget I had to have. For the price, this is a really neat outdoor thermometer that shows the high and low temperature of the day. One important note is the location of installation. I live in S.Fla and mounted it on the north facing window. You must locate it in a spot where direct or even somewhat direct sunlight does not affect it as this will most likely give false readings. If you have a glass door or window that leads to a screen enclosure, this would also allow for a fairly correct temperature reading, although this could also cause improper readings in the heat of the day as the metal pan roof can reflect heat to the inside of the screen enclosure.
All in all, I love mine and reccomend it. I bought 10 of them at Christmas and gave them out as gifts.
LaCrosse - Very Satisfied September 15, 2009 Baron 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is my fourth purchase of this item. Two as gifts and one as a replacement for the display that went south on my first unit. I have found the device to be simple to read, easy to install and addictive. I find myself constantly looking at it as I walk through the kitchen. The large read out and prominent location on a window makes it a real neat item. I have read comments regarding it's accuracy. To me it is as close to accurate as I need it to be. It could be right on or off a degree. Since I am not a weather person the difference between 71 and 72 is no big deal. It is a practical and fun item...well worth the cost.
Great Digital Thermometer September 30, 2009 JK (NJ shore) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had mine over three years (older style WT-62U).
Some of the number segments started to fade, probably due to moisture.
Took it apart and cleaned the contacts, new battery and Scotch taped the top and sides.
It works just like new now. I have it facing north on the outside window out of direct sun 90% of the day.
Would buy another one.
Window Thermometer June 20, 2008 William J. Ostrander (Benicia, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great thermometer at a nice price. Bought two of them a year ago and gave one to a friend. Have had many positive comments about mine at home. The daily min/max readings are great and it resets itself every day. Bought two more recently to use elsewhere.
I love mine! July 6, 2008 Ann (Wisconsin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had my two thermometers for over a year. They both work great, and most of the time, their temperature matches that of the temperatures listed by the media. I have had several people purchase one as the result of the ones they have seen in my home.
